Frequently Asked Questions

Our garden rooms start from around £11,000 inc. VAT for a compact 5m² space — ideal as a small garden office or creative retreat. The most popular choice with our customers across Warwickshire and Solihull is a 5m x 3m room at around £30,000 inc. VAT, which gives you a genuinely spacious, versatile space you can use every day of the year. You can see the full pricing guide and case studies above on this page.

Everything you need to walk in and use your space is included as standard: groundworks, the full structural build, your choice of cladding, bi-fold or French doors, all glazing, internal flooring, plastering, painting in your chosen colour, and a full electrical installation with lights and sockets. There are no hidden extras. Many companies quote a lower headline price and then charge separately for groundworks, plastering or electrics — which quickly closes the gap. With DPM, the price you’re given is the price you pay.

Note: One exception is the mains electrical connection from your house to the garden room — this is handled separately by our trusted local electrician and we manage the whole process alongside you.

Yes — every price we give you is fully inclusive of VAT. What you see is what you pay, with no surprises at invoice stage.

In most cases, yes — often significantly. A single-storey rear extension in Warwickshire typically costs £35,000–£60,000 or more, takes months longer to complete, requires planning permission in most cases, and leaves parts of your home uninhabitable during the build. A DPM garden room doesn’t usually need planning permission, takes 8–10 weeks on site, and adds a completely separate, versatile space to your property — at a fraction of the cost of an extension. Take a look at our pricing guide for real examples of what we’ve built and what they cost.

For many homeowners it’s the smarter, faster, less disruptive choice — and the space you end up with is entirely your own.

Absolutely. Tell us your budget upfront and we’ll work honestly with you about what’s achievable. We can talk through how size, cladding, glazing and specification affect the final cost, and we’ll keep refining the quote until it feels right. Most customers go through a few rounds before settling on exactly what they want — and we genuinely enjoy that process.
Call us on 01926 450060 or fill in the contact form on our website. We’ll arrange a free design consultation and come to you – no obligation, no hard sell, just an honest conversation about what you want and what’s possible.

We keep it straightforward and fair. You pay 25% when you sign the contract to secure your build slot, and a further 25% four weeks before we start on site to cover materials ordered for your build. We invoice 40% at the halfway point of the build, and the final 10% is due on completion — once you’ve walked through the finished room and you’re happy with everything.

Because every DPM garden room is designed entirely to your specification, your order is bespoke from the moment you sign. If you cancel more than 8 weeks before work is due to start, you’d forfeit only the initial 25% holding deposit. If you cancel within 8 weeks of your start date, the full 50% deposit is forfeited, along with any costs we’ve already incurred. That said, we’d always encourage you to come and talk to us first — in most cases we’d rather find a solution than lose a customer.
